Maple Lane Farms

Today we visited Maple Lane Farms with several of our friends. It was a beautiful day! We went on a hayride out to the pumpkin patch where Kate and Braden got to pick out their own pumpkins. We followed that with a picnic lunch. What a perfect fall day!

Time for a Wedding?

Grandma Carol made Kate some more clothes for her American Girl doll. Kate's favorite outfit for Nikki was her wedding dress complete with a clip-on veil. Isn't she beautiful?? Thanks Grandma!!

Rainy Day

Braden was excited about the rain today because that meant he could break out his rain gear. Gotta love those boots!!

Braden has been pretty good at playing by himself while his big sister is at school. I realized he must be missing her though when I found him like this the other day!

Cheerleading fun

Kate had a friend over after school today. The girls wanted to do her "learn to cheer" DVD. Braden was not going to be left out! Too funny!!

Another Birthday celebration....

We celebrated Braden's birthday with Nonny & PopPop last night at Chuck E Cheese. Braden had a great time!

Trip to the Fire Station!

Our friend Jenifer's brother is a fireman so our playgroup visited his fire station yesterday and had lots of fun! We got to check out the firetruck, spray the hose and talk with the firemen. One of the firemen even slid down the pole for us. Right after our tour they got a call so we got to see them head out with lights and sirens. Pretty cool!!! Thanks Jenifer for inviting us!

Kate's new teeth

Kate has been very excited that her two new teeth have been coming in. She has also been trying to convince several other teeth that they are ready to come out, but so far they're hanging on!

Braden's 1st trip to Build a Bear

Braden had his first Build A Bear experience with Grandma Carol today. (Grandma took Kate for the first time at the same age right after Braden was born!). He immediately picked out his black bear and of course the Spider Man outfit (with boots to match his). He creatively named his bear B's Bear :-)!

Super Braden!

Braden had a school project where we had to "dress" a cardboard person like himself and then one day at school last week they decorated the faces. He is very proud of Super Braden (or Super B)!!

Braden's first UT game!!

Braden loved his first UT game! Daddy was very excited (that meant he got to stay for most of it). He ate a whole box of popcorn and had fun looking for the "two Smokey dogs".

Braden has started taking gymnastics on Monday while Kate has her class. He loves trying out all the things he has been watching Kate do for years!

Playing hard Kate had her first soccer game with her new team "The Pink Unicorns" on Saturday. All the girls did a great job. Kate played really well and was excited that she was able to score a few goals. We're so proud of her!!

Sweet moment....

Every morning after Braden and I drop Kate off at school we have the following conversation....

Braden - "Mommy, where Kate go?" (knowing we just dropped her off at school)
Me - "She went to school Braden"
Braden - "Well, me miss her." (even though she's been gone less than 10 seconds)

and then throughout the day.....

Braden - "Mommy, where going? Going to get Kate?"

We celebrated Braden's 3rd Birthday (yes, a month early) on Saturday. He had a fantastic time with all his friends and family. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate his special day!!
