Time for a big boy room!
It's time for Braden's big boy room which means that the nursery is going to be no longer. Since both Kate and Braden used the same nursery I had to take some pictures of them in the room before the demolition begins! I can't believe our nursery days are over!!

Fun at the Library!
Braden and I went to the library today for a special presentation. Two clowns from the Ringling Bros circus were there. They read us a story and performed lots of their tricks! Braden wasn't quite sure he liked the clowns at first, but by the time we left he was giving them fives and blowing them kisses!

New clothes for Nicki
When Grandma Carol was in town after Christmas she took Kate to the fabric store to pick out fabric for some new clothes for her American Girl doll, Nicki. Grandma sent Kate the clothes yesterday. Kate was even more excited to discover that Grandma made Nicki her own quilt and pillow, too! Thanks Grandma!!!

Gymbugs!

I took Braden to a mommy and me Gymbugs class this morning while Kate was at school. He wasn't quite sure what he thought about it at first, but by the end of the class he had pretty much caught on to what it was all about. We're both excited to try it again next week. He showed off some of his "moves" on his new indoor trampoline when we got home.

It’s sometimes very difficult
for us to understand
the wisdom and the love behind
the things that God has planned.
But we wouldn’t have the rainbow
If we didn’t have the rain;
We wouldn’t know the pleasure
If we never tasted pain.
We wouldn’t love the sunrise
If we hadn’t felt the night;
And we wouldn’t know our weakness
If we hadn’t sensed God’s might.
We couldn’t have the springtime
or the yellow daffodil
if we hadn’t experienced
the winter’s frosty chill.
And though the brilliant sunshine
is something God has made.
He knew too much could parch our souls
so He created shade.
So God’s given us a balance:
Enough joys to keep us glad,
Enough tears to keep us humble,
Enough good to balance bad.
And if you’ll trust in Him you’ll see
Though yesterday brought sorrow,
The clouds will part and dawn will bring
A happier tomorrow.
This poem was in my daily devotion today. I thought I'd share it!
